Account Manager / Senior Account Manager

The Role:
The main objective of this role is to undertake sales activities to deliver revenue growth and market share with existing and new customers through a focus on customer service, effective sales representation, and sales negotiation with the customer base.

You will be able to set targets and budgets for the allocated territory and be able to represent the company in a semi-autonomous role with senior clients.
You will win new business, develop existing clients and build rapport with customers to forge long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Conduct regular visits to promote and demonstrate company benefits, to sell to new and existing customers.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key customers/clients to maximise business opportunities.
  • Direct responsibility for individual agency performance in achieving all targets set and agreed to by senior managers.
  • Proactively create strategic recommendations and implement these solutions to drive revenue from your client base. 
  • Analyse monthly sales reports provided by the National Sales Director in order to monitor progress against monthly targets. 
  • Assist in the training and development of the junior members of the group when directed.
  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and competitor awareness across new products, pricing trends etc.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications: 

Knowledge:
  • Sales methodologies and their applications within a competitive environment.
  • Industry knowledge including competitors, clients and potential clients, trends and pricing issues an advantage.
  • Financial analysis, budgets and sales forecasting requirements.
Skills: 
  • Excellent sales, sales negotiation and business development practices including territory planning, customer management and lead generation and conversion.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills to effectively build relationships with key customers and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize workloads and meet deadlines
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years Sales experience in a related industry with a demonstrated track record of success in sales and winning new business.
  • Budget and target management and ability to take a broad and long term view of the business.
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in a commercial, marketing or business related discipline are essential.
