We're looking for a forward-thinking sales savvy General Manager to join this great company entering an exciting stage of growth and change.
 
Based in Auckland you will work closely with the company director and operations manager to drive this business. With twenty-eight employees across New Zealand, Europe and a strong partnership in Asia, their mission is to provide solutions within the Australasian and international apparel industry and continue to grow globally.
 
A bit about you:
 
Are you a Sales Manager looking to step up? Ideally, you have experience in the apparel industry and you're a natural salesperson who can build trusted relationships with ease. A doer who doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves, someone who can service valued customers, generate leads and convert. You have in-depth knowledge of and experience with the sales process, lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals.
 
You enjoy negotiating and are someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same in others. You enjoying coaching, advising, and motivating your teams to create and maintain a high-performance.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to the team
  • Manage operations
  • Drive the development of employees
  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives
  • Create and execute a strategic sales plan that expands the customer base and extends global reach
  • Track, analyse and communicate key quantitative metrics and business trends as they relate to partner relationships
  • Oversee the sales team to ensure company quotas and standards are met
  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time
  • Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
Experience:
  • 7+ years in sales management within a corporate setting
  • Management experience
  • Proven track record of success the sales cycle from plan to close
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Strong communications skill and relationship building skills
  • Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
  • Proven experience in a managerial role
  • Strong decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
  • Proven ability to maintain financial plans
  • Ability to motivate and lead people
  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures
