What a year we have had so far here in Manchester! There have been many highlights, new starters and most importantly, this year marks the occasion that is our 10th birthday. Hurrah! …and what better way to celebrate, than with a proper birthday party too. We decided that Grand Pacific, in Spinningfields, would be the perfect venue of choice, they had the ideal summer setting as well as delicious canapés & cocktails.
Our newest team member Nicky, was the first point of contact for our guests as they arrived and were welcomed with a glass of bubbly. What a turn out we had too! It was fantastic to see such a mix of clients, candidates and friends come to celebrate with us on such a lovely evening. When everyone had arrived, you could really see how much effort and time Justin and Kim had put into the night. We had brilliant feedback from everyone, from the venue, complimentary drinks, HUGE cake and not to mention the main focus of the evening, our Become branded ice sculpture! We all had a ball, trying the different drinks poured down the ice.
One of our other highlights during the evening included our Shillington college competition, as part of our anniversary we offered the students at Shillington, the chance to take part in a competition to produce a poster themed around the North, Become and celebration. We had some amazing entries and announced the winner on the night. The keen student would receive a brilliant opportunity for a 1 week placement with Havas Lynx, a well established creative agency in Manchester. So the competition was tough! It was a great touch on the evening and brilliant to see all the finalists, plus the team from Havas came along.
Towards the end of the evening, and after a few of the more sensible ones had headed off to bed, we carried on the party alongside the DJ and evening tried our hands at mixing ourselves :)
I am really proud to be part of such an enthusiastic team of people, that celebrate all successes, both big and small. Here’s to the next 10 years guys!
