Indigenous Literary Foundation

We are addressing the poor literacy rates in Indigenous remote communities in Australia and New Zealand, by supporting ILF. Our donation helps to provide books and literacy programmes to remote communities where they are needed most.

Being able to read opens so many doors. But in very remote Indigenous communities, books are all too scarce. Our purpose is to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous families by not only gifting thousands of new culturally appropriate books – with a focus on early literacy and first language - but also by running programs to inspire the communities to tell and publish their own stories.

Venture Arts

We are donating to Venture Arts, a charity based in Manchester that gives learning disabled artists the opportunity and environment to express their creativity. We think it’s important that everyone gets the opportunity to enjoy & develop themselves through visual arts!

Venture Arts is a progressive visual arts organisation that strives for learning disabled people to engage with and be recognised in art and culture. They ensure that learning disabled artists are able to create and show new visual artwork. They deliver over 1,000 visual arts workshops per year working with over 200 people and run work schemes which help learning disabled people to work and volunteer in cultural and educational environments. As well as providing for disabled adults Venture Arts also run a number of outreach workshops aimed at engaging children with disabilities.

Children’s Cancer Foundation

One of become’s core values is to be caring, and so in donating to CCF, we hope to help those who are so unfortunate at such a young age.

For over 25 years, the Children’s Cancer Foundation has been providing caring services for young children with cancer and their families. Their aim is to improve the quality of life for young cancer patients and their families in caring for their physical, psychological and social well-being as well as helping doctors to improve the survival rate of children with cancer through sponsorship of expensive drugs, childhood cancer research and diagnostic tests.
