Role Overview:

The Strategic Planner is a consumer-focused critical thinker, collaborating with clients to define marketing goals, analyse trends, and develop strategies. They optimise performance, work on new business opportunities, and provide the creative team with concise briefs for effective idea development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support new business initiatives by assisting in the development of response proposals and offering insights into client challenges.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify trends and insights for strategic planning. Utilise surveys, interviews, and workshops to gather relevant information and measure the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of brand positioning and market share strategies. Additionally, craft thought-provoking content and strategic documents that align with the overarching goals.
  • Create comprehensive communication plans for retainer clients, ensuring they are measurable on a quarterly basis. Collaborate with team members and agency partners to optimise and amplify strategies over time.
  • Attend client meetings, presenting findings, concepts, and progress updates. Work closely with clients to fine-tune messaging and tactical approaches throughout the process.
  • Facilitate collaboration with creative teams by developing clear and insightful creative briefs. Ensure seamless alignment between the devised strategy and its creative executions.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in developing communication strategies with examples of strategic and creative thinking in projects.
  • Strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, ability to simplify information, collaborative and independent work, excellent written and verbal communication, quick and thoughtful decision-making, forecasting skills for trend analysis.
  • Embraces values such as curiosity, good company, honesty, and hunger for creativity. Pays attention to detail, practices self-management, forward-thinking, and pro-activity. Fosters a collaborative approach to work.
